Grimdark Brickfleets: Cult of the Machine

A downloadable set of instructions for nine different types of spaceships made out of construction bricks, ready to fly into your wargaming sessions.

This is a work of love towards science-fiction in general more than any specific setting. Nevertheless, it takes cues from a few known worlds of fiction. There is no official connection with either and the lore presented with the models has its own unique flair despite the inspirations.

 

Feel free to use these models as you see fit. They are tailored towards wargame usage, but I believe they do look well in a diorama too.

Cult of the Machine

 

Ancient as the universe is, it is no wonder many a civilization existed, reaching great heights of power and majesty. From their crumbling ruins ascended their successors in a seemingly infinite cycle. This continued rise and fall of civilizations means that many powerful machines and forbidden knowledge are now scattered across space, ripe to be taken by whoever may find them.

 

The Cult of the Machine exists to find such artifacts of yore and guard them for its own use, as the members of this organization believe that only they can value its meaning. This is because they see machines and knowledge as sacred in themselves, this ideology being the base of their religion. Thus, they form large expedition fleets that rummage distant worlds and forgotten installations to find every bit of lost technological legacy before others can get their hands on it. They are willing to fight for this right, and will many times do so, in space and on the ground.
